1. Criteria for acquiring Made In Rwanda Logo

The following are criteria to acquire the Made in Rwanda logo:

• Certificate of company registration

• Certificate of Brand name registration

• Compliance with Rules of Origin as applied in Rwanda

• Product compliance with standards, statutory and regulatory requirements

2. Benefit of acquiring Made in Rwanda Logo

• Fight against product falsification and counterfeiting.

• The highly protected logo embodies technological patterns for product genuineness traceability.

• It is a powerful marketing tool

• Increases competitiveness in tenders as per the requirement of the notion of exclusive preference for MIR products as per the Law No.62/2018 of 25/08/2018 Governing Public Procurement

• Consumers can digitally track the product and report fake products in the retail market.

3. Process of acquiring Made in Rwanda Logo

How to apply for the Made in Rwanda logo:

You can apply for Made in Rwanda logo services by visiting the online service portal at https://portal.rsb.gov.rw/index.php

From the Services page

      1. You will be presented with a list of all services available. Click on Apply For Made In Rwanda Certification button. This will prompt you to log in. Proceed as per number 2.

From the Dashboard

      2. This requires you to be logged in to your account. Click on Apply For Made In Rwanda Certification button

Create an account or log in if you already have an account.

Once you have logged in to your account, you need to select the service (Made In Rwanda Certification), you will be presented with an application, whereby you are required to complete it with the requested information to proceed.

Notifications will appear at the top of the overview tab to show you all the missing information.

Once you have provided all the necessary information, the application is now ready to be submitted. Click on Submit Application.
