Call for Expression of Interest to participate in the East African Community (EAC) Quality Award 2025

Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) is pleased to inform the public especially private sector that an Open Call for Expression of Interest (Col) for East African Community (EAC) Quality Award 2025 is here. This competition is spearheaded by the EAC Secretariat and coordinated by the Secretariat in collaboration with the East African Business Council (EABC) with technical guidance from the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Under the auspice of the European Union – East African Community (EAC) Market Access Upgrade Programme II (EU-EAC-MARKUP II) organizes the competition which is strategically designed to enhance exports of agribusiness and horticultural products, foster regional integration, and facilitate access to European markets. Spanning across Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Cong, Somalia and Uganda. This annual event serves as a beacon for quality excellence in the region.

In Rwanda, RSB as National Standards Body is entrusted to coordinate the competition at national level in collaboration with the Private Sector Federation (PSF). The winning organizations will represent Rwanda in the competition at regional level and at the awarding event to be held in NAIROBI/KENYA in November 2025.

RSB takes this opportunity to invite interested organizations (public or private), companies, enterprises or industries (large or small) to submit their filled forms (see attachment) not later than 30 June 2025 through the email: qualityawardcompetition@rsb.gov.rw
