CONSUMERS/CLIENTS SHOULD ABSOLUTELY STICK ON THEIR RIGHTS VIS-À-VIS QUALITY PRODUCTS/SERVICES

In line with RSB mandate of developing and publishing national standards, disseminating information on standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures, organizing training programs for its Stakeholders in the area of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment, raising awareness to promote the importance of standards and quality service as well as raising standardization culture in Rwanda and in recognition of your effort to promoting Rwanda standards and their application in day to day business;

ADECOR and SfS in a workshop session

RSB organized a workshop on standardisation activities with the aim of equipping and straightening the Association of consumer rights promotion and protection (ADECOR) and Standards for Sustainability (SfS) in fulfilling their mandate. 

The awareness training took place today on 29th March 2018 at Hill Top Hotel. The total number of participants is 48 people. RSB believes these organizations will assist in the promotion of standardization in the country.

The training covered various topics on RSB interventions: standardization such as what is a standard? how is it developed? Its benefits?.... Testing is another service where different items are tested according to a certain standard and focused on a standard for management of testing and calibration laboratories. Then, Metrology was discussed, what is Metrology, its origine, its benefits and future plan for Metrology. Moreover, another presentation focused on quality assurance, a unit that enforces standards then finally, Certification which is a process of being certified on a certain product or a system so that a company may be able to provide a quality service or product which positively impact on companies’ profitability and economy of the country.
