Energy campaign - energy performance - infographic EN
Rwanda Standards Board, as other National Standards Bodies, supports the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) campaign on standards and energy efficiency. This campaign highlighted the important role standards play in increasing energy efficiency, and will contribute to the reduction of energy use worldwide as well as the increased use of renewable and clean energy sources.
The campaign ran from 7-11th November 2016, to time with the COP 22 Conference in Morocco, and featured a number of activities including:
- Press releases
- A social media campaign
- Brochures (“ISO 50001” and “ISO and Energy”)
- ISO focus edition on ISO and energy
A communication campaign on standards and energy efficiency helped to:
- Raise awareness of how standards contribute to energy efficiency and sustainable development goals
- Increase the profile of individual standards in this area such as ISO 50001 for energy management
- Increase the profile of standards currently being developed such as ISO 52000 for the energy efficiency of buildings
At the same time, the campaign helped reach out our standardization stakeholders and contacts to raise awareness of the importance of standards in this sector and the work that we do.
