RSB and PTB organize Planning of Legal Metrology Workshop
Mr. Philibert Zimurinda, National Metrology Division Manager/RSB addressing the Media Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) is currently developing the National Legal Metrology Legislation to enforce fair trade according to the harmonized East African Community scheme. One of the big challenges observed so far consists in adapting services offered by RSB to the requirements of the legislation; and this calls for stakeholders’ efforts to come up with a legislation that will be beneficial to everyone involved. RSB, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the National Metrology Institute of Germany, has organized a Planning of Legal Metrology workshop that brings together all stakeholders in fair trade to discuss the issues embedded in the legislation drafting process and come up with inputs to enrich the legislation. The event takes place in Kigali at Chez Lando Hotel from 25th January, and will wind up on 26th January,2016.
