RSB Trains National Bank of Rwanda Staff on ISO 9001

Today, November 27th, 2017 at Lemigo Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) has started a four-day training of National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) staff on RS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS). BNR, with other internationally accredited schemes, has embarked on the process to be certified against QMS in order to assure services delivered and processes consistently guarantee customer satisfaction. The first step in implementing QMS is getting staff trained so as to provide them with the background and knowledge on requirements of quality management systems, and consequently getting them to understand their stake in attainment of a QMS in their organization.

In the training opening remarks, Mr. Raymond Murenzi, Director General of Rwanda Standards Board, appreciated commitment by BNR to comply with QMS requirement and seek international recognition of the quality of the Bank’s service. He emphasized that Rwanda aims to be a service-driven economy and a financial hub; thus BNR and other financial service providers are key players towards fulfillment of that ambition. He informed that RSB is ready to offer trainings and/or offer certification services to all organizations or companies interested in implementation of QMS and other service standards.

With RSB having acquired international certification against ISO 9001, a call to all service providers is made to seek certification of their system for customer confidence, their service or product market access and continual improvement to ensure customer satisfaction is the core enabler of the business success.
