Standards Contest –Team Rwanda Won Bronze

In early August 2016, Rwanda participated in the 11th International Standards Olympiad in South Korea. The purpose of this competitive contest is to provide an educative exhibition in order to let teenagers and youngsters understand and increase interest in standards in their daily lives.

The team was composed of three (3) students from Rwandan schools, namely: MUGISHA Jesse from Nu-Vision High School, KWISANGA B.M. Amédée from Petit Séminaire de Rwesero, MWIZERWA Diane from Gashora Girls Academy, and accompanied by Mr. Joseph NTWALI their guide from Rwanda Standards Board.

Following last year’s invigorating success, Team Rwanda competed in the category of Middle School and Rwanda won the Bronze Medal. Rwanda won the Bronze Medal against 25 teams for the category of Middle schools from 6 countries namely: South Korea, Rwanda, Japan, Malaysia, Peru, and Indonesia.

Among others activities, Team Rwanda presented the Rwandan culture during the competition through Rwandan tradition dance and poems.
