PUBLIC NOTICE

Call for Expression of Interest to participate in National Annual Quality Awards Competition.

Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) is pleased to inform the public especially private sector that there is a call for submission of expression of interest and submission of applications for the National Annual Quality Awards Competition. The aim of the award is to recognise and appreciate organizations and individuals who are contributing the advancement of quality in all sectors of our economy. The competition is a pivotal initiative which aims at cultivating quality culture and safety within enterprises across all sectors of the economy within the EAC region.

Under the auspice of the European Union – East African Community (EAC), Market Access Upgrade Programme II (EU-EAC-MARKUP II) organized this competition which is strategically designed to enhance exports of agribusiness and horticultural products, foster regional integration, and facilitate access to European markets. Spanning across Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, and Uganda, this annual event serves as a beacon for quality excellence in the region.

In Rwanda, RSB as National Standards Body is entrusted to coordinate the competition at national level in collaboration with the Private Sector Federation (PSF). The four winning organizations at National level will represent Rwanda at Regional level in the following category:

  1. Large Enterprise: Best service of the year
  2. Large enterprise: Best product of the year
  3. Small/medium Enterprise: Best service of the year
  4. Small/medium Enterprise: Best product of the year

Therefore, this public notice is intended to invite interested organizations/companies/enterprises or industries to submit their applications by filling the expression of interest form (see attachment) and send it to qualityawardcompetition@rsb.gov.rw not later than 30th August 2024.
