1. Introduction
Rwanda Standard Board in the last decade has been branding its management system certification services using multiple marks peculiar to the system to be certified. As we diversify and increase the scope of our services, the marks have proved to be a challenge to the consumers to easily understand how they connect, thus bringing in a branding challenge.
- In remedy to this, together with many other efforts intended to making standardization services more customer-suited, RSB has re-branded its management system certification services using a Single Quality Mark.

2. Single Quality Mark.
RSB System certification mark The term Single Quality Mark means the logo by which the certified Organizations indicate their certified status. A Single Quality Mark is made up of the C-¬Shape which represents compliance, part representing lmigongo for Rwandan heritage combined with the identification of the certified management system. The RSB logo shall never be used to indicate a certified status. Only organizations that have written permission from the Director General may use the Mark as per the signed licensing contract. The RSB Single Quality Mark has been registered by the Office of Registrar General in Rwanda Development Board in accordance with National Law N° 31/2009 of 26/10/2009. The colour scheme of the logo is specified below.

How To Use The Logo

The licencee shall not redesign the single Quality Mark and the only editing allowed is to proportionately enlarge or reduce the design.

The Licencee shall not use the management system Certification Mark in a way that may be interpreted as denoting product conformity; however the Mark can be used for advertising purposes.

For use, a certified client with several certifications can use the Single Quality Mark logo along with the standards numbers and management systems placed below the logo.

The text is used under the single quality mark and is printed black.
3. Apply for system certification
- fill in application form
- pay certification fees
- stage 1 audit (desk audit & on site visit)
- stage 2 audit (full audit)
- submission of audit report to client
- closure of corrective actions (if any)
- certification decision by independent committee
- issuance of certificate of conformity
- surveillance audit
- re-certification (after 3 years)
Note that the time frame mainly depends on client’s readiness
